BATED BREATH, who was a geneal 7-1 for Wednesday’s Duke of York totepool Stakes, will miss the race with connections choosing to wait for better ground.

Roger Charlton also plans to hold fire with fellow top sprinter Genki, although the trainer will be represented in the Group 2 sprint.

Bated Breath and Genki to miss York to await faster ground but Definightly declared and would like more rain if possible,” tweeted Charlton.

A final field of 14 are set to go to post for the Duke of York with Hoof It, Mayson and Society Rock priced up as the main contenders.

A small but select field of six will face off inthe Group 3 Tattersalls Musidora Stakes on the same card with Aidan O’Brien relying on Twirl.

The Leopardstown maiden winner tackles Qipco 1,000 Guineas fourth The Fugue, surprise Weatherbys Bank Cheshire Oaks winner Good Morning Staras well as Aniseed, Esentepe and Salford Art.
