DEMAND for Leicester’s ladies’ day on Saturday, July 7 has been so great that within a couple of weeks the course will be putting up the ‘sold out’ sign for a fixture for the first time in its history.
General manager David Meykels said: “Our regular racegoers should book now, because the turnstiles won’t be open, and if they turn up as usual on the day without a ticket, they are going to be disappointed.
“We can’t exceed our safety limit, and have only 1,000 tickets left, which are selling at the rate of 500 a week.”
The afternoon’s racing will be followed by a live concert featuring Belinda Carlisle, Heaven 17 and ABC. Tickets can be booked online at leicester-racecourse.co.uk.
