THE British contingent for the International meeting in Singapore are gearing up for Sunday’s big races.
The Jane Chapple-Hyam-trained Secret Asset, a contender for the $1 million Group 1 KrisFlyer International Sprint, touched down at Changi airport in the early hours of Monday morning.
“It was a pretty long trip for him but he looked in good order when he was unloaded from the plane,” veterinary surgeon’Dr Sander Biesma told the Singapore Turf Club website.
Secret Asset is in line to take on reigning champion and home crowd favourite Rocket Man, who will be bidding to gain revenge of his Golden Shaheen conqueror Krypton Factor at Kranji.
Godolphin’s City Style completed his preparation for the Singapore Airlines International Cup by working well over 6f in Newmarket.
Quoted on Godolphin’s website, his trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni said: “Everything is going to plan with City Style. He worked well today and is in good form.
“Mickael (Barzalona) will ride City Style in Singapore. He knows the horse very well and I think the extra distance will suit City Style.”
