Marco Botti

Marco Botti reports his French import Planteur to be going the right way ahead of the 150th Anniversary of Prince of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot on Wednesday week.

The son of Danehill Dancer will bid to improve on his fourth in the mile-and-a-quarter Group One 12 months ago when in the care of Elie Lellouche.

The five-year-old entire has shaped well in two starts for Botti this year, finishing third to Golden Lilac in the Prix’d'Ispahan at Longchamp on his latest outing.

“He’s on course for the Prince of Wales’s Stakes. It’s all been good with him and we are happy,” said the Newmarket trainer.

“I think he has come on for his run in France and he looks in good order.

“He did a nice piece of work at the weekend and we were happy with that. It’s so far so good.”

The form of his latest start received a boost on Monday when fourth home, No Risk At All, upset favourite Meandre in the Group Three La Coupe at Longchamp.
