Last year’s Norwegian Triple Crown winner Without Fear (Arnfinn Lund/Jacob Johansen), who also won the Swedish Derby and has been successful in 10 of his 13 starts, faces the toughest task of his career against nine rivals on Tuesday evening.

Without Fear‘s regular rider, Fredrik Johansson, has opted to partner stablemate Sir Lando (Wido Neuroth), runner-up in this race 12 months ago.

The field also includes Tertullus (Rune Haugen/Rafael Schistl), bidding to land this prize for a third successive year, and Bank Of Burden (Niels Petersen/Per-Anders Graberg), last year’s Stockholm Cup winner and arguably the best older horse in Scandinavia.

German-based jockey Andrasch Starke, who won last season’s Arc on Danedream, partners Energia Central (Fabricio Borges), a winner at Meydan last year who has won three of his four starts in Sweden but now steps up in grade.
